I passed up the chance to go to drama school at 19 in favour of travelling and taking care of a parent.

But the acting bug never left. Life is a journey of growing talents and interests.

I'm good with accents, Irish, Scottish, South African and Australian and regional British accents.

Dorkus Pretendus is a comedy character I invented in 2014 to make my children laugh.

​

It started with puppets from my childrens' book readings in Edinburgh nurseries, schools and community

centres and then led on to the creation of Dorkus Pretendus, an old fashioned doofus who is nerdy, awkward and frumpy.

​

It has taught my kids about writing scripts, props, filming, lighting, scene location, costumes and acting.

Dorkus is the naive idiot and is designed to just make people smile and laugh at her buffoonery.
